Kata - Heian San Dan
Yoi - ready stance facing towards the north
1. Turn 90 to the left into a left foot forward back stance facing west and execute a left arm outside block.
2. Bring the right foot in towards the left and assume a natural stance with
the feet together. Execute a combination left low block and right outside block
(scissor block).
3. Without stepping, execute a combination right low block and left outside
block (scissor block).
4. Turn 180 to the right into a right foot forward back stance facing east
and execute a right outside block.
5. Bring the left foot in towards the right and assume a natural stance with
the feet together. Execute a combination right low block and left outside block
(scissor block).
6. Without stepping, execute a combination left low block and right outside
block (scissor block).
7. Turn 90 to the left and step towards the north into a left foot forward
front stance. Execute a left reinforced outside block with the right fist placed
against the left forearm.
8. Step forward into a right foot forward front stance and execute a combination
left downward palm block and right spear hand strike.
9. Pivot on the right foot and turn 360 to the left into a horse stance facing
east and looking north. While turning, bring the right hand behind the back
as if being grabbed and held and execute a left hammer fist strike to the side
of the attacker's body.
10. Step forward into a right foot forward front stance facing north and execute
a right middle punch.
11. Bring the left foot in towards the right, and turn 180 to the left. Assume
a natural stance with the feet together facing south and rest the fists on the
hips with fingers facing the rear. This movement should be executed slowly.
12. Bring the right knee up high and then execute a right downward stomping
kick to the opponent's thigh.
13. Land in a horse stance facing towards the east and looking south. While
keeping the fists on the hips, execute a strike to the solar plexus with the
right elbow.
14. Without stepping, execute a right back fist strike to the philtrum then
return the right fist to the right hip.
15. Pivot on the right foot and turn 180 to the right bringing the left knee
up high then execute a left downward stomping kick to the thigh.
16. Land in a horse stance facing towards the west and looking south. While
keeping the fists on the hips, execute a strike to the solar plexus with the
left elbow.
17. Without stepping, execute a left back fist strike to the philtrum then
return the left fist to the left hip.
18. Pivot on the left foot and turn 180 to the left bringing the right knee
up high then execute a right downward stomping kick to the thigh.
19. Land in a horse stance facing towards the east and looking south. While
keeping the fists on the hips, execute a strike to the solar plexus with the
right elbow.
20. Without stepping, execute a right back fist strike to the philtrum.
21. Step forward with the left foot into a left foot forward front stance facing
south and execute a left middle punch.
22. Bring the right foot in towards the left and then step out with the right
foot into a horse stance facing south. Pivot on the right foot turning 180 to
the left and step out with the left foot into a horse stance facing north. Execute
a combination left rear elbow strike and right punch towards the rear crossing
in front of the body and ending by the left ear, palm facing in.
23. Hop towards the right into a horse stance facing north. Execute a combination
right rear elbow strike and left punch towards the rear crossing in front of
the body and ending by the right ear, palm facing in, "KIAI."
Yame - return to ready stance facing north.
